This morning, we walked from the Bali Hai Hotel to the small town of Maharepa, stopping in many of the shops and at the post office. We went into one small shop and met the American owner, who, it turns out, knows a friend of ours back in Florida...it's indeed a small world. We returned to the boat and later went into the Blue Pineapple Bar/Restaurant at the Bali Hai to have a beer and use their wifi and ended up having a nice long talk with one of the original owners, Jay Carlisle, who gave us a bit of insight as to the beginning of the Bali Hai Hotel.
